Happy New Years 2009

It is an exciting time to kick off those New Years resolutions, and we hope you are well along your way!  If you haven't started yet, there is no time like the present.

When setting your goals, make sure they are realistic and achievable. If your ultimate goal is to have a six-pack, it much more manageable to go about tackling the smaller steps along the way.  Start by eating better, then by making a habit out of exercise. Once those steps are in place, make it your goal to lose a few inches off of your waist. Pretty soon, you are well along the way to your ultimate goal and have achieved many smaller sucesses.  Setting up small, but achievable goals, allows you undertake much more than you could with one unrealistic expectation.  Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, but brick by brick!

Even if come up short or fall off the wagon with your New Years Resolution, don't give up. In fact, give yourself a pat on the back. Every day that you work towards your goal is another day you get closer. It's another cigarrette you didn't smoke, another beer you didn't drink, another mile you were able to run.  Good for you, keep up the great work!
